Sport Nutrition Counseling

RDN's truly can help you play a better game! I love when I hear success stories. In this case, as referenced in the local Free-Lance Star newspaper, I am honored to be the registered dietitian nutritionist that supported Max Harper in achieving his sport and health goals. Max recently received the Fredericksburg, Virginia All-Area baseball player recognition award. And now, he is on his way to the Virginia Military Institute (VMI). He is a fine young man, and I wish him all the very best!

French TV News

As an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics national Spokesperson, when you get a request from a Washington Bureau Producer for French TV asking you for an interview on U.S. Competitive Eating (think downing 65 hot dogs in 12 minutes, etc.) to air on the evening French television news (6 Million viewers) next week....you say 'Yes, I'd be happy to help."

Making a Difference - University of Illinois Honor

May 2018 - As the University of Illinois celebrates 150 years of education, I received notice that I was anonymously nominated to be included in an online profile of approx. 1200 U. of Illinois graduates who have gone onto "big things." To be included in such a group is quite an honor. This profile includes some of my memories while an undergrad student on campus in Champaign-Urbana. Go Fighting Illini - go Big Ten!

McGovern-Dole Leadership Award

Pleased to represent the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics with these colleagues to see Senator Bob Casey (PA) and Senator Jerry Moran (KS) receive this award presented by the World Food Program. Worldwide 815 million people suffer from hunger; 80% of expenditures to resolve hunger are spent in war zones (man-made conflict areas). Humanitarian, developmental and educational aid needed.
