National Media Spokesperson

FLS Newspaper Article -

Honored and humbled to serve another 3-year term as an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics National Media Spokesperson. Representing 110,000+ food, nutrition and health professionals to accurately provide science based principles to the media for better public health outcomes is a passion I hold near and dear to my heart. Nutrition is not easy - it is a medical science; and registered dietitian nutritionists (RDN) are on the front line of so many disease states.

Thank you to radio host Ted Schubel and NewsTalk1230 WFVA for allowing me to be a hometown regular in your studio! And congrats to new media spokespersons Grace Derocha (MI), Amy Reed (OH), Caroline Susie (TX) and to reappointed colleagues Whitney Riley Linsenmeyer (MO), Debbie Petitpain (SC) and Julie Stefanski (MD).

Shout out to my alma maters University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, and Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science for supporting me on my education journey.
